As they dumb down America and confuse the understanding of the difference between REAL rights (given by God), and merely privileges, they also work to incrementally take away our RIGHT to free speech and religion.

Contrary to what the left will have you believe ATHEISM IS A RELIGION. A religion is nothing more than a set of beliefs about the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe. Christians and followers of religions which believe in a higher power believe we were created, while atheists believe we are simply an accident or coincidence. I happen to believe that we were created by God, and I have the right to say that in public. You have the right not to listen. Atheists believe that God doesn’t exist and that they evolved from amoeba and monkeys. They also have the right to express that belief in public, and I have just as much right not to listen.

Notice that there is NOT a right NOT TO BE OFFENDED mentioned ANYWHERE in the constitution. The simple sight of you might offend me, but there is little I can do about that unless the reason your appearance offends me is because you are breaking decency laws by running around naked in public, or you are appearing in my home which I can ask you to leave at any time. The simple fact is that free expression of all ideas WILL put something out there that WILL offend some. As long as the expression is in a form or venue where people have a CHOICE of whether or not to listen, that expression SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. If it’s on TV, I can change the channel. If it is at City Hall, I can choose not to attend on that occasion. When it is in a public location where people must see it every day, and people work in that environment, then there better be equal time given to opposing view points. But if the atheists, homosexuals, muslims, and followers of whatever belief system are going to cast dispersions on the other religions, they better be prepared to have a few insults thrown their way as well. As it stands now, they can say anything they want about Christianity or Judaism and get away with it, but if a Christian preacher INSIDE HIS OWN CHURCH expresses the belief that homosexuality is a sin, or that atheists will go to hell, then that is HATE SPEECH. If you don’t like what the preacher is saying, get up and leave.
A political candidate in this week’s primary election for the office of comptroller in Illinois has filed a lawsuit against the state charging it officially expressed “hate” and “hostility” toward Christianity and other religions that include a belief in God by allowing atheists to post a sign in a state building at Christmas.

That sign, posted by the Freedom from Religion Foundation, said,:

At the time of the winter solstice, let reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is just a myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.
It was placed in the Illinois Capitol Building, through which GOP comptroller candidate William J. Kelly, a cable television executive, was required to travel for his responsibilities as a candidate.
The 2nd Amendment Makes the Choice PossibleWhether or not this is actually true, it illustrates the benefit of being armed. It gives you a choice of whether or not to be a victim.

If the dirtbag has enough of a life to actually ruin, this would be a pretty cool way to handle the situation. However, I suspect the scumbag mugging you wouldn’t have credit cards with much of a credit limit, or anything else of much value.

Just shoot him and be done with it.

To the Guy Who Tried to Mug Me in Downtown Savannah night before last.

Date: 2009-05-27, 1 :43 a.m. E.S.T.

I was the guy wearing the black Burberry jacket that you demanded that I hand over, shortly after you pulled the knife on me and my girlfriend, threatening our lives. You also asked for my girlfriend’s purse and earrings. I can only hope that you somehow come across this rather important message.

First, I’d like to apologize for your embarrassment; I didn’t expect you to actually crap in your pants when I drew my pistol after you took my jacket. The evening was not that cold, and I was wearing the jacket for a reason. My girlfriend had just bought me that Kimber Model 1911 .45 ACP pistol for my birthday, and we had picked up a shoulder holster for it that very evening. Obviously you agree that it is a very intimidating weapon when pointed at your head … isn’t it?!

I know it probably wasn’t fun walking back to wherever you’d come from with that brown sludge in your pants. I’m sure it was even worse walking bare-footed since I made you leave your shoes, cell phone, and wallet with me. [That prevented you from calling or running to your buddies to come help mug us again].

After I called your mother or “Momma” as you had her listed in your cell, I explained the entire episode of what you’d done. Then I went and filled up my gas tank as well as those of four other people in the gas station, — on your credit card. The guy with the big motor home took 150 gallons and was extremely grateful!

I gave your shoes to a homeless guy outside Vinnie Van Go Go’s, along with all the cash in your wallet. [That made his day!]

I then threw your wallet into the big pink “pimp mobile” that was parked at the curb …. after I broke the windshield and side window and keyed the entire driver’s side of the car.

Later, I called a bunch of phone sex numbers from your cell phone. Ma Bell just now shut down the line, although I only used the phone for a little over a day now, so what ’s going on with that? Earlier, I managed to get in two threatening phone calls to the DA’s office and one to the FBI, while mentioning President Obama as my possible target.

The FBI guy seemed really intense and we had a nice long chat (I guess while he traced your number etc.).
In a way, perhaps I should apologize for not killing you … but I feel this type of retribution is a far more appropriate punishment for your threatened crime. I wish you well as you try to sort through some of these rather immediate pressing issues, and can only hope that you have the opportunity to reflect upon, and perhaps reconsider, the career path you’ve chosen to pursue in life.. Remember, next time you might not be so lucky.Have a good day!

Thoughtfully yours,
Alex
Straight up communist doctrine and right out of Saul Alinsky’s playbook. Intimidate into silence. At first in this country it was done slowly by sneaking in small, unconstitutional laws that most people were to complacent to resist. The first “big stick” used against the church in this country was MONEY. LBJ had a law passed making it illegal for preachers to speak out for or against political candidates because he didn’t like that fact that they usually spoke out against HIM. The IRS were his “Brown Shirts.” They would revoke the tax exempt status of a church found in violation of this law. Sadly, far too many churches and preachers let themselves and the Gospel be pacified by this intimidation, which has resulted in a much more timid church and body of Christians overall in America. Now that most have been pacified over time, the left is stepping up its campaign to silence the church completely. They are boldly employing thug tactics that have never before been seen in America, and haven’t been seen in a western country since 1930’s Germany.

If Christians, and Americans in general don’t stand up for EVERYONE’S right to free speech, then it will soon be gone.

Arguments have moved to the appellate court level in a California case in which a man talking to two willing strangers in a shopping mall was arrested because the subject of the conversation was God.

The case developed several years ago when a youth pastor was arrested at the Galleria Mall in Roseville, Calif., for having a conversation about religion with two other people.

Matthew Snatchko, who works with youth at his church, was interrupted in the middle of a conversation by a security guard. A second guard joined the confrontation and told Snatchko he was being placed under citizen’s arrest for “trespassing.” (Phony charges to silence and intimidate since they knew they couldn’t arrest him for what he was doing.)

The pastor said he agreed to leave but instead, the guards grabbed him, roughly shoved him against a storefront window and handcuffed him tightly enough to draw blood. Snatchko later was taken to the police station where he was booked on charges of battery and trespassing.

A short time later the charges were dropped, but officials with the Pacific Justice Institute decided to pursue a case against the mall over the impact of the policy on free speech. (Again, they were sending a warning. “Don’t speak about any of that God stuff, or next time we won’t go so easy on you.” These are the intimidation tactics of the left. Look at Hitler’s National Socialist Party and his Brown Shirts, Stalin’s purges, and Mao’s tyrannical reign.)

After a Placer County Superior Court judge in 2008 affirmed the mall’s regulations, an appeal was launched to the 3rd Appellate District in Sacramento, and the briefs have just now been completed for that court’s review.

“It’s surprising that mall owners think they can arrest patrons for engaging in casual conservations,” said PJI Staff Attorney Matthew McReynolds. “While a ‘don’t talk to strangers’ rule may be good for kids, enforcing it against adults is absurd, and we think it violates California’s free speech guarantees.”

The case is being pursued under the state’s constitutional provision for free speech, which extends protections to private locations, because the 1st Amendment to the Constitution deals directly with government restrictions.

McReynolds said had the case been argued in federal court, it would have had to focus on the discriminatory nature of the mall’s restrictions.

“Singling out religious speech for punishment violates our most basic principles of free expression,” said PJI President Brad Dacus. “If anyone can be arrested for wearing a Christian T-shirt or mentioning God in a shopping mall, we have lost not only our freedom, but our sanity as a society.”
While we are pissing on and shredding ours, they are honoring and following theirs. They also showed great courage to continue following their convictions and their constitution in the face of political and economic pressure to cave in to the demands of both the thinly and not so thinly veiled communist countries and organizations around the world. They are being led by people who are actually not afraid to speak the name of God in public, and to incorporate His guidance in their actions.

Here's to you, Honduras. Well played.

With New Leader Installed, Shunned Honduras Seeks International Recognition

Friday, January 29, 2010
By Patrick Goodenough, International Editor

(CNSNews.com) – Honduras took a big step away from its protracted political crisis this week when its new president was sworn in and his deposed predecessor flew into exile, but the new government still faces a challenge in winning international recognition.

Only three presidents, those of Panama, the Dominican Republic and Taiwan, attended Wednesday’s swearing-in of conservative President Porfirio Lobo. Several other regional governments sent foreign ministers. (Notice that Che Gue-bama wasn’t anywhere near the place. Had it been a tin pot communist dictator taking power, Chairman Maobama would have been right there licking his boots.)

The United States, which recognizes the new government, was represented by the assistant secretary for the Western Hemisphere, Arturo Valenzuela.

Also on Thursday, Lobo’s leftist predecessor, Manuel Zelaya, left the mission and flew to the Dominican Republic. He vowed to return someday. Zelaya was ousted five months ago and later sought refuge at the Brazilian Embassy.

Wednesday’s developments in Tegucigalpa, the capital of the small Central American country, marked a defeat for Zelaya’s regional allies, led by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

Critics saw Chavez as a leading behind-the-scenes player in Zelaya’s bid to change the constitution to extend presidential term limits – as Chavez and several of his leftist allies have done in their own countries. (This is a key thing to note here. Continue to read about how a constitution is SUPPOSED to work…)

Zelaya’s move violated Honduras’ constitution and triggered a Supreme Court ruling that led to his ouster by the military. His abrupt departure, says Heritage Foundation senior policy analyst Ray Walser, was “a serious blow to a key Chavez ambition: a radicalized, anti-American Honduras.”

In line with constitutional rules of succession, Zelaya was replaced by congressional speaker Roberto Micheletti, who served as interim president until the previously scheduled presidential election in November.

In the election, 62 year-old rancher Lobo of the National Party took 56 percent of the vote, easily beating his nearest rival, the candidate for the Liberal Party (to which both Zelaya and Micheletti belong.).

Zelaya’s removal was viewed by many governments, including the Obama administration, as a “coup.” (This was all going on about the same time O-bow-ma was kissing My-mood I’m-in-a-jihad’s butt, and licking Hugo Chavez’s boots. Had a communist/Marxist dictator taken over, Obama would have hailed it as a “victory for the people.”)

Micheletti’s interim administration came under sustained international pressure to allow Zelaya to serve out his term. (Only the leftists were pushing for this. Conservatives and constitutionalists cheered the fact that Honduras actually obeyed and stood up for their constitution.) The U.S. froze aid, revoked diplomats’ visas, and backed a decision by the Organization of American States (OAS) to suspend Honduras’ membership. (Again, at the behest of the O-bow-minator.)

An accord negotiated by Costa Rican President Oscar Arias called for the reinstatement of Zelaya, the creation of a national unity government, and a “truth commission” to look into the circumstances of his ouster. (All very Stalin-istic. This is what we can expect from failed organizations with leftists goals like the OAS and the UN.)

But lawmakers in December overwhelmingly voted against reinstating Zelaya. The interim government refused to back down despite the outside pressure, choosing to hold out until the date for the formal start of the new presidential term. (I only wish America would display such a spine.)

Lobo has pledged to work to promote reconciliation between Hondurans who supported Zelaya – many or most of whom boycotted the election – and those who applauded his ousting.

During his inaugural speech, the new president signed a decree, approved earlier by lawmakers, granting amnesty to Zelaya and shielding from future prosecution anyone involved in his removal from office.

The move drew criticism from Amnesty International. “Failure to sanction abuses that took place during the coup d’etat could give a green light to further violations in Honduras,” said the group’s Americas program deputy director, Kerrie Howard. (Kind of reminds you of Al Gore crying about the outcome of the 2000 presidential election, doesn’t it? These are the same voices from around the world who want to see Bush and Cheney tried for “war crimes.” To these nut jobs, it’s only a war crime if you’re not a communist dictator murdering millions of your own people.)

‘Bible and constitution’

Micheletti, who will now return to Congress, attended a special Mass Wednesday at a church in Tegucigalpa, where said he wanted to thank God and his supporters for their help during the crisis. (Finally, someone who understands that “separation of church and state” only applies if a) you’re trying to impose a state mandated religion, or b) you’re trying to destroy the moral base of a country so you can institute a communist system.)

He urged Lobo to govern with the Bible in his right hand and the constitution in his left, and called on the international community to support the new government, saying that Honduras had done nothing but defend its democracy. (I think these fellows are more in touch with our founding fathers than we are. The GET IT!)

Governments refusing to recognize Lobo base their stance on the fact he was elected in a vote organized under an “illegitimate” interim administration. (Only viewed as “illegitimate” by those who weren’t happy with the outcome. The Hondurans followed their constitution and the law to the letter. This should be viewed as a victory for law and order.)

In the region, they are led by Venezuela and its leftist allies, as well as members of the Mercosur trade bloc, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Venezuela’s ambassador to the OAS, Roy Chaderton, protested during an OAS council meeting on Wednesday that Lobo’s inauguration had completed “the successful circle designed by the coup plotters in Honduras.” (Communist propaganda.)

Critics of the OAS decision to freeze Honduras’ membership over what they considered essentially an internal constitutional matter contrasted the move with the regional body’s decision just months earlier to scrap a 47 year-old resolution that expelled Cuba for its alignment with the communist bloc. (THIS says it all. A bunch of communist dictators trying to prevent a seed of freedom from sprouting in their back yard.)

With its member states divided over the issue – those recognizing the new government include Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador – it remains unclear how the OAS envisages dealing with Lobo.

OAS Secretary-General Jose Miguel Insulza said last week developments in Honduras would have to be “evaluated by countries.”

“In the case of the OAS, a process of gradual return of Honduras to the democratic community will have to be initiated,” he said. “We hope it will happen as soon as possible, and we are ready to help in whatever is necessary.” (Unlike the communist and/or dictatorial regimes making this phony offer, the Hondurans are quite able to handle this change of administration because they followed THE LAW.)

Regional powerhouse Brazil’s role will be particularly important.

Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim on Thursday seemed to leave the door open for a shift in the future, saying that his country’s position remained unchanged “for the moment” but it would watch how Lobo governs. “Everything depends on the new president.”

Meanwhile, Lobo faces not just a struggle for recognition but also severe economic challenges. Even before the political crisis and punitive steps by the international community Honduras already had the highest proportion of people living below the poverty line in Central America and, according to the CIA World Factbook, “extraordinarily unequal distribution of income and high un- and under-employment.”

“The costs of Honduras’s isolation have been substantial,” says Walser. “It has created a climate of uncertainty for businesses and investors. Honduras also suffers from generalized economic recession and a loss of remittance earnings that undercut its already fragile economy.”

Walser said the Obama administration must quickly end sanctions against Honduras, including the denial of visas. It should also press for the country’s return to the OAS, and international recognition.
Dishonest, disingenuous, biased reporting.

Mizzz Brewer leads Judd Gregg with the classic “so when did you quit beating your wife” type of question. If she thought she could have gotten away with more than the quip about taking money away from schools, she would have gone for it. “So, you’re going to leave seniors on the streets to die?” Or, “So, your plan takes food away from children.” This is how a BIASED reporter asks questions. There are biased reporters on all sides, but the majority of them seem to find homes with media outlets that have a decidedly liberal bias.

An HONEST reporter would have simply asked how the Senator intended to cut spending, then based upon his answers ask how that would affect various programs. They would not lead with an IDEOLOGICAL supposition.
January 28, 2010 16:56 ET
On the soon-to-be canceled ‘It’s the Economy’ program on MSNBC on Thursday, co-host Contessa Brewer grilled Republican New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg on his calls to reduce out-of-control government spending: “Which programs are you willing to cut? Are you willing to tell schools, no money for you?” Gregg shot back: “What an absurd statement to make. And what a dishonest statement to make.”

Gregg called out Brewer for her unfair framing of the issue: “…nobody’s saying no money for schools….On its face you’re being fundamentally dishonest when you make that type of statement.” He went to explain the kinds of budget cuts he would make: “I would freeze discretionary spending, a real freeze, not a – not a freeze plus inflation. I would eliminate the T.A.R.P. money….I would end the stimulus spending effective in June of this year, if not sooner….reform our entitlement programs….I’ve made very specific proposals and I’m willing to stand by them.”

Gregg was far from finished, he described the big government mentality shared by the Obama administration and the liberal media: “The problem is that this administration’s view of governance is that economic prosperity is created by growing the government dramatically. And then it gets misrepresented by people like yourself who say they’re going to – that if you do any of this stuff you’re going to end up not funding education.”

Brewer attempted to deny suggesting that Gregg wanted to cut funding for schools: “That’s not what I said.” Gregg continued undeterred: “I mean that statement alone is the most irresponsible statement I’ve heard from a reporter, probably in a month….And there are a lot of irresponsible statements made by reporters and that was the most irresponsible I’ve heard.”

Fellow co-host Melissa Francis ran to Brewer’s defense: “Senator, with respect, that’s not what she said, she was asking you what you would like to cut specifically.” Gregg replied: “That’s exactly what she said, go back and read your transcript.”

Brewer then attempted to end the interview: “We appreciate your time today-” Gregg kept going: “You can’t be duplicitous about this. You can’t make a representation and then claim you didn’t make it. You know, it just shouldn’t work that way. You’ve got to have some integrity on your side of this camera, too.”

Gregg reiterated: “…you’re suggesting we should have a zero – zero in education. Well, of course, nobody’s suggesting that. Nobody’s even implying that. But in your introduction to me, you said that, that education funding would be cut.” Brewer again denied making that exact implication: “No, I didn’t.” She then concluded the interview: “Senator, I’m sorry for any mis-communication that we’ve had. And as always, we appreciate your time, we appreciate you sharing your particular perspective on what should be done to take America into a prosperous future. Thank you.”

Here is a full transcript of the segment:
2:33PM

CONTESSA BREWER: Let’s bring in now Republican Judd Gregg, the Senator of New Hampshire, the top Republican now on the Budget Committee and a member of the Senate Banking Committee. What do you think about the money the President is proposing to spend on jobs and what [National Urban League President] Mark [Morial] was just saying that it has to go hand in hand with other programs that integrate job training, vocational skills, and certainly educating very young people.

JUDD GREGG: Well, we’re running a 3 point – a $1.3 trillion deficit this year. The government’s going to spend over $3 trillion. All of that deficit goes into the debt, which has to be paid by our children and our children’s children. I think somebody’s got to ask a more fundamental question, how are you going to get the economy going if you run up the debt to a point where we can’t afford our government? That, I think, is a much more fundamental question.
If you want to do something to energize this economy, I think you put in place some plans which control the rate of government, so the people can have confidence that we as a nation are not going to go into some form of fiscal bankruptcy in five to seven years. And that will cause people to be willing to invest, to be willing to take risks, and to be willing to create jobs. Jobs are not created by the government. You know, long-term good jobs are created by a vibrant economy. And you don’t get a vibrant economy when the government and the size of the government and the debt of the government is overwhelming the capacity of the economy to function well.

MELISSA FRANCIS: That’s good in theory, Senator. How would you practically-

GREGG: It’s not theory. It’s not theory.

FRANCIS: How would you – well, tell me-

GREGG: Don’t tell me that it’s good in theory.

FRANCIS: Well, tell me how to put it to work. Tell me – tell me very practically-

GREGG: No, you don’t tell me it’s good in theory. What are you – how do you get off saying something like that? Good in theory?

FRANCIS: Because it is good in theory. It is, it’s fantastic.

GREGG: Oh, of course.

FRANCIS: So tell me how to practically – here’s your opportunity, Senator, let me finish, to tell us how to practically put it to work. I’m all for small government.

GREGG: Well, you stop – you stop the spending spree. You stop growing government so fast that you can’t afford to pay for it. You don’t increase the size of the government from 20% of GDP to 25% of GDP in two years. You don’t add a trillion dollars of new debt to the – to our kid’s back every year for the next ten years. You don’t pass a budget – the President doesn’t send up a budget which increases – doubles the debt in five years, triples it in ten years. You don’t say that you’re for fiscal responsibility and then propose a whole panoply of new programs which you can’t pay for. That’s not theory, that’s reality. That’s what we’re facing as a nation.

BREWER: So when – when-

GREGG: The reality of a fiscal meltdown of our country which is going to have a massive impact on people’s lives and especially cost a lot of jobs in this country.

BREWER: So my partner, Melissa, Senator Gregg, is really asking for specifics. If you don’t believe that we should have a $1.3 trillion budget, which programs are you willing to cut? Are you willing to tell schools, no money for you? Do you – and do you side then, with those who say – I mean, you look back at the Great Depression, economists say we landed back into real problems in 1937 when people got onto cutting a deficit and a lot of government spending was pulled back before it should have been.

GREGG: Well, first off nobody’s saying no money for schools. What an absurd statement to make.

BREWER: Well, I’m asking-

GREGG: And what a dishonest statement to make.

BREWER: What we both are-

GREGG: On its face you’re being fundamentally dishonest when you make that type of statement.

BREWER: Senator Gregg, what we’re both asking, is which programs you expect to cut?

FRANCIS: Tell us what to cut.

GREGG: I mean do you know how much money we’re spending at the federal government on education this year?

BREWER: Which – Senator, you’re going to be asked to cut certain programs if you’re on the Senate Banking Committee, which programs would you cut?

FRANCIS: Just tell us, what do you want to cut?

GREGG: Oh I have no problem telling you, I would freeze discretionary spending, a real freeze, not a – not a freeze plus inflation. I would eliminate the T.A.R.P. money, which would get us close to $400 billion. I would end the stimulus spending effective in June of this year, if not sooner, so that we can recover all the money that’s going to be spent outside the window of this recession. And we shouldn’t be spending it and adding it to the debt. I would take a major effort to reform our entitlement programs, in fact yesterday, or the day before yesterday, we had a vote to try to do that under a bill which I proposed with Senator Conrad. I’ve made very specific proposals and I’m willing to stand by them. The problem is that this administration’s view of governance is that economic prosperity is created by growing the government dramatically. And then it gets misrepresented by people like yourself who say they’re going to – that if you do any of this stuff you’re going to end up not funding education.

BREWER: That’s not what I said

GREGG: I mean that statement alone is the most irresponsible statement I’ve heard from a reporter, probably in a month.

BREWER: It wasn’t a statement, it was a question.

GREGG: And there are a lot of irresponsible statements made by reporters and that was the most irresponsible I’ve heard.

FRANCIS: Senator, with respect, that’s not what she said, she was asking you what you would like to cut specifically.

GREGG: No, that’s what she said.

FRANCIS: And I think you answered the question.

BREWER: We appreciate your time-

GREGG: That’s exactly what she said, go back and read your transcript.

BREWER: We appreciate your time today-

GREGG: You can’t be duplicitous about this. You can’t make a representation and then claim you didn’t make it. You know, it just shouldn’t work that way. You’ve got to have some integrity on your side of this camera, too.

FRANCIS: She asked you what you would like to cut. She asked you if you’d like to cut schools. You said no. It was a question and answer.

GREGG: No, you’re suggesting we should have a zero – zero in education. Well, of course, nobody’s suggesting that. Nobody’s even implying that. But in your introduction to me, you said that, that education funding would be cut.

BREWER: No, I didn’t.

GREGG: Well, education funding isn’t going to be cut. Yes you did.

BREWER: Senator, I’m sorry for any mis-communication that we’ve had. And as always, we appreciate your time, we appreciate you sharing your particular perspective on what should be done to take America into a prosperous future. Thank you.

GREGG: Thank you.
—Kyle Drennen is a news analyst at the Media Research Center.
David said it quite well when he said "Obama not only wasn't contrite about his broken promises and disastrous record; he was on the attack, daring anyone to oppose his agenda."

Here are a few of the adjectives I would use to describe Chairman Maobama's State of the Union(s) speech: angry, narcissistic, disjointed, dishonest, unrepentant, unpresidential, classless, lacking decorum, and pathological.

The writer of his speech should be fired, then taken to the woodshed for the number of lies, lack of facts, and other breaches of decorum in the speech. But we know that will never happen, because O-bow-ma believed just about every word of the speech (except, of course, the part about drilling for oil and building nuclear power plants.)

The few democrats left that might remotely consider themselves as AMERICANS need to head for the life boats. The true "progressives," the followers of "the one," are going down with the ship.
It's time to start whispering "IMPEACHMENT."
There Was the President's Speech, and There Is Reality
By David Limbaugh
January 29, 2010

Watching President Barack Obama's State of the Union speech makes me wonder whether the reason he tells so many fibs is that he believes them himself. Either that or he is an even better actor than he is a teleprompter reader.

Obama not only wasn't contrite about his broken promises and disastrous record; he was on the attack, daring anyone to oppose his agenda -- even in the face of the Massachusetts rebuke. But let's see how some of his statements match up with reality.

On health care, he taunted congressmen to "let me know" if any of them have "a better approach that will bring down premiums, bring down the deficit, cover the uninsured, strengthen Medicare for seniors and stop insurance company abuses," as if his own plan would do those things.

Even the Congressional Budget Office has said most of the Democratic plans would increase the budget. Besides, you can't reduce overall costs when government forces an increase in demand, even if it caps insurance premiums and shifts costs elsewhere and/or imposes rationing. The CBO has also reported that with Obamacare, millions would remain uninsured. So under his plan, costs would rise, quality and choice would decrease, care would be rationed, millions would remain uninsured and, worst of all, the government would acquire an unprecedented level of control over all aspects of our lives.

Do conservatives have better ideas? Of course. Restore market forces through tort reform, strengthening health savings accounts, abolishing government coverage mandates, allowing consumers to purchase policies across state lines and eliminating the tax laws incentivizing employer-provided health care, which unnecessarily increase demand by making prices invisible to consumers.

A candid Obama would have said, "If any of you have a plan that does not involve restoring market forces and reducing government's role in the health care industry, I'll at least pretend to look at it." "Make no mistake," neither Obama nor his Democratic colleagues will support genuine health care reform, because to reduce costs, we must reduce government control, and they can't abide that. Period.

As for spending, Obama didn't once apologize for his reckless expenditures. Instead, he blamed his soaring deficits on his predecessor, completely misrepresenting the projected deficits under President Bush and ignoring his own deliberate doubling of the national debt over the next 10 years. That's the issue Americans are losing sleep over, and he offers only Band-Aids and smoke and mirrors.

He says he will freeze a portion of the discretionary budget, but as Cato Institute reports, 83 percent of the budget will be off-limits. Other than his "stimulus" insanity, the real explosion in spending is occurring in the entitlements that he refuses to touch. Even his mini-freeze wouldn't begin until 2011 (why wait?), and it would be dwarfed by his planned spending increases for other socialistic projects, including a new "stimulus plan." And how about that assault on personal and fiscal responsibility with his promise to forgive student loans after 20 years?

How Obama can stand before the nation and insist on spending more borrowed money to accomplish something his first "stimulus plan" didn't achieve (job creation), but exacerbated, is beyond me. How he can blame President Bush for his own broken promise that unemployment wouldn't exceed 8 percent if his "stimulus" bill were implemented is jaw-dropping. He even said he saved 2 million jobs. Scary delusional! Or scary sinister!

Speaking of chutzpah, did he actually dare to utter the words "transparent" and "accountable"? How about those phantom legislative districts receiving stimulus monies, Mr. President? How about that promise to televise the health care debates on C-SPAN?

He said he hadn't raised income taxes "a single dime" on 95 percent of the people. Yet in almost the same breath, he promised to redouble his efforts on cap and tax, which would increase the average family's energy costs by almost $3,000 per year. I don't believe his campaign promise was limited to income taxes, by the way. (He also said he had CUT taxes on the middle class. Being solidly in the middle class, I think I would know if that had actually happened. Reducing my withholding so it looks like I’m getting a tax break, when it actually pushes me into a higher tax bracket forcing me to pay that much and more on April 15th is NOT a tax cut. A “stimulus” check, which just gives back a small portion of what was mine to begin with, is not a tax cut. Giving that same “stimulus” check to those who don’t pay taxes at all is just a handout, and communist redistribution of our hard earned money.)

How about his righteous ranting on earmark reform? Sorry, we've been down that twisted road with you before, Mr. President. (There were some 9,000 earmarks in the O-bow-ma porkulus bill. I’d call that a step in the right direction, wouldn’t you? (facetiousness intended))

Then there was his audacious riff on lobbyists. Been there, done that, too, Mr. President, with your phony promise to keep lobbyists out of the White House.

Obama also railed against "partisanship, shouting and pettiness" as he filled most of his speech with just those things, even castigating the Supreme Court, erroneously, for opening the door to foreign corporations' campaign contributions.

How about his statement that "America must always stand on the side of freedom and human dignity"? Hmm. Tell that to the Iranian and Honduran peoples. He must have meant once he's out of office.

Then there was his bizarre out-of-body pivot, when he blamed Washington for our problems. (Narcissistic clown.)

All of this, especially Obama's obvious incapacity for self-doubt, is disturbingly surreal. (It’s like the speech he gave the other day on “tax cuts.” In that speech, he said “I” over 120 time while mentioning the subject of the speech, tax cuts, only TWICE. It’s kind of like the Toby Keith song “I wanna talk about me.” (I wanna talk about me, Wanna talk about I, Wanna talk about number one…) He is a self-centered, communist/progressive, anti-America, probably NOT American danger to America, our constitution, and our way of life.)
Taxpayers paid $101,000 for Pelosi’s in-flight ‘food, booze’
Speaker’s trips ‘are more about partying than anything else’
WorldNetDaily

It reads like a dream order for some wild frat party: Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey … and Corona beer.

But that single receipt makes up just part of the more than $101,000 taxpayers paid for “in-flight services” – including food and liquor, for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trips on Air Force jets over the last two years. That’s almost $1,000 per week.

Documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by Judicial Watch, which investigates and prosecutes government corruption, show that the Pelosi incurred expenses of some $2.1 million for her use of Air Force jets for travel over that time.

“Speaker Pelosi has a history of wasting taxpayer funds with her boorish demands for military travel,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said today. “And these documents suggest the Speaker’s congressional delegations are more about partying than anything else.”

Pelosi, D-Calif., who joined President Obama on a list of Top 10 corrupt politicians, was added to that list for her “sense of entitlement,” Judicial Watch said when the “honors” were announced not long ago.

“Politicians believe laws and rules (even the U.S. Constitution) apply to the rest of us but not to them. Case in point: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her excessive and boorish demands for military travel. Judicial Watch obtained documents from the Pentagon in 2008 that suggest Pelosi has been treating the Air Force like her own personal airline,” the evaluation said.

And WND reported almost a year ago that Pelosi was shown to have been erratically canceling and rescheduling flights, like one would with an on-call taxi service.

“We have … folks prepping the jets and crews driving in (not a short drive for some), cooking meals and preflighting the jets etc,” said one Department of Defense e-mail then. (Having worked in a DV airlift squadron, I can tell you with certainty of personal experience that the preparation for these VIP flights is quite involved. There’s flight planning (routing, diplomatic clearances, permission to land at certain airports), and logistics (fuel, food, hanger/tie-down space coordination, ground transportation), all of which is time sensitive and tied to the party’s request for travel. Because the professionals in the military who make it seem effortless, and nearly always “make it happen,” these self-proclaimed royalty like Nancy Pelosi, the Botox Bolshevik Barbie, have zero appreciation for the effort and wealth expended on their behalf. Nor do they care.)

Another official sent an e-mail questioning a series of Pelosi’s requests for aircraft.

“Any chance of politely querying [Pelosi's team] if they really intend to do all of these or are they just picking every weekend?” it stated. “[T]here’s no need to block every weekend ‘just in case’…”
The e-mail noted that the speaker’s office had “a history of canceling many of their past requests.”
Yet another e-mail exchange at that time revealed Pelosi’s demand that jets pick her up at Travis Air Force Base rather than San Francisco’s airport.

“She lives about 1.5 hours from SFO and much closer to Travis. … Whether it is the best use of assets is not the question. But instead is it worth upsetting the speaker…” (Heaven forbid we upset the Botox Bolshevik! She should be traveling commercial like the rest of us commoners, especially since WE ARE FOOTING THE BILL!)
Said another,

“This is a battle that we are bound to lose if we tell the speaker(’s) office. In the end, this is what will happen. I wish that I could say this is a one-time request, but we know it will probably happen again in the future.”
Yet another indicated a deep level of frustration:

“Here is the laydown: there are five G5s. Two are broke. Two off on CODELS. One slated for priority White House… we should keep on G-III for now for Tuesday afternoon and start sacrificing goats and chickens.”
Judicial Watch said the newly obtained 2,000 pages of documentation show Pelosi’s military travel cost the U.S. Air Force $2,100,744.59 over two years – including $101,429.14 which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.
Among the newest highlights revealed:

Pelosi used Air Force aircraft to travel back to her district at an average cost of $28,210.51 per flight. Of 103 Pelosi-led congressional delegations (CODEL), 31 trips included members of the House speaker’s family.

One CODEL traveling from Washington, D.C., through Tel Aviv, Israel, to Baghdad, Iraq, May 15-20, 2008, “to discuss matters of mutual concern with government leaders” included members of Congress and their spouses and cost $17,931 per hour in aircraft alone. This flight included the purchase of the long list of alcoholic drinks.

According to a “Memo for Record” from a March 29-April 7, 2007, CODEL that involved a stop in Israel, “CODEL could only bring kosher items into the hotel. Kosher alcohol for mixing beverages in the delegation room was purchased on the local economy i.e. bourbon, whiskey, scotch, vodka, gin, triple sec, tequila, etc.

Pelosi’s office could not be contacted for comment. The answering machine said the office would be closed until Monday, and the mailbox was full so no messages could be left.
Imagine that you send your son or daughter to college. They come home at the end of the first year and confess that they have run up a $50,000 tab on your credit card. But they say “It’s OK, Dad. I’m going to freeze my spending at that level for the next 3 years.“ Does that make you feel any better about going to the poor house?
If we are serious about cutting the debt and the deficit, stimulating the economy, and preserving the American way of life, then we will not only cap NON-DEFENSE spending to include Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and all the other social entitlement spending that no one is actually “entitled” to, we will do away with the IRS, the Department of Energy, the Department of Education, and most of the other unnecessary governmental agencies that don’t live up to the purpose for which they were commissioned. Return to the LIMITED role of government that was intended by our founding fathers, and watch Americans rise to the occasion and restore us to our place as the greatest nation on earth.

State of the Union, January 2010
Mr. Obama, here are my reactions to and impressions of your State of the Union speech last night.
First of all, let me make one overall recommendation to you, Mr. Obama.

Grow up and take responsibility.
You say “I’m not interested in re-litigating the past.” Yet you continue to blame George W. Bush for EVERYTHING under the sun. You point fingers and blame everyone else on the planet for your problems, and for things you don’t like while dodging any and all personal responsibility for events taking place in America now. It makes you look immature and petty. The minute you signed onto the stimulus and began taking over companies and banks, you owned this economy, and your senatorial votes during the Bush administration played a significant part in the economy’s demise.

You said that you understand the “burden of working harder for less,” and “I know the anxieties out there now.” Really? Sir, most of your life has been one of privilege financed by others. Now you are at the pinnacle of that life living in the lap of luxury, throwing lavish parties, traveling all over the world, flaunting power all at the expense of the American taxpayer. If you really understood, you wouldn’t be throwing your weekly parties for your cronies, and you wouldn’t be spending millions of taxpayer dollars flying all over the country and world on Air Force One just to get photo ops for your never ending campaign. You would be staying in Washington, D.C. working on REAL, bipartisan solutions.

You stated that you had cut taxes for millions of us in the middle class. Really? Being solidly in the middle class, I think I would know if you had. Allowing us to keep more money up front and then taxing it away from us on April 15th is not a tax cut. Mailing me a check for a SMALL PORTION of the tax money that was mine to begin with is a REBATE, not a tax cut. When you mail those same checks to the 50% of Americans who don’t pay income taxes anyway, that’s just a handout. When you’re charitable with your own money, that’s generosity. When you’re charitable with OTHER PEOPLE’S MONEY, that’s called THEFT or REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH when it’s done by the government.

You talk of creating government/public service jobs to help the economy. Since you were supposedly a “professor,” I would expect you to be educated enough to understand that public-sector, government jobs by definition CAN NOT CREATE WEALTH, which is what will stimulate our economy. A government job by definition takes money away from the economy to pay for itself.

Mr. Obama, you said you wanted a “jobs bill” on your desk immediately. Sir, here’s the jobs bill guaranteed to create jobs, and stimulate economic growth. I’ve delivered it to you before congress could, and kept it so brief that any child could understand it. Here it is. Are you ready?

CUT TAXES!
Cut personal income taxes, cut corporate taxes, and eliminate the “death” and “marriage” taxes, and I GUARANTEE that the economy will take off like a rocket.

You also mentioned that you were going to “double exports” to reduce our trade deficit. That sounds good, but how do you plan to achieve that, and what do you plan to export? The liberal policies of taxing businesses and creating a business climate that forces them to move their businesses overseas has left us with very little to export. When you make a corporate environment that ATTRACTS businesses, we will once again produce what the rest of the world wants, and exports will be a natural byproduct of that.

When it comes to health care reform, you have been wrong, and continue to be wrong. You have been dishonest in your dealings with the American people, and have outright lied about the “transparency” that was supposed to be the hallmark of these negotiations and of your administration. CSPAN? How’s that working for you? I guess I just missed all of those broadcasts, because I haven’t seen any of them. You said “if anybody has a better idea (about health care) let me know.” Oh, dear Lord in Heaven (I can introduce you to Him), please keep my head from exploding. You and the rest of your “progressive” (read communist) buddies have SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED REPUBLICANS from the entire process, and refused to listen to, include or consider ANY of their ideas while crafting your government takeover of the health care system. Sir, the ideas are there but you are unwilling to listen to any ideas that do not fit your agenda. Tort reform, tax cuts, competition across state lines, and several other ideas have been put forth that are proven successful strategies for making health care better and more affordable. Yet you won’t allow them to be put on the table because they don’t pay your union buddies, or contribute to the takeover of health care. I pause to conjure the spirit of Rep. Joe Wilson.

You said you were going to “freeze spending for three years.” You speak of how that won’t start until 2011 because “that’s how budgeting works.” How convenient that it works out that you are putting it off until AFTER the midterm elections so that any possible pain associated with your policies won’t be felt until after Americans cast their votes. Your “spending freeze” sounds good to the uninitiated and uneducated that you hoped were the majority of your audience last night. But the reality is that you have already allowed HUGE spending increases in nearly every government agency that they wouldn’t have seen in the next 5-7 years COMBINED. Then you exempt the largest portion of government spending from any freeze. That would be the ENTITLEMENT SPENDING upon which you and the liberals depend for your political lives, and to which NO ONE IS ACTUALLY ENTITLED. If you were serious about eliminating the deficit, and paying down the debt, then you would get serious about ELIMINATING GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. Go to a flat tax (which is a FAIR tax) with no exemptions and eliminate the IRS. That would save about $11 Billion per year. The Department of Energy was established to “end our dependence on foreign oil.” How would you say that’s working? The DoE is about as useful as mammary glands on a boar hog. Scrap it and save the billions of dollars per year that it sucks up from the tax payers. You could legitimately close the doors of 75% of the Federal government with no negative impact on America. You would in fact allow America to prosper by simply getting government out of the way, and saving us all of that money.

You speak of dismantling our nuclear arms and “agreements” with the Russians. You obviously are not a student of history. When we weaken ourselves, our enemies do not follow suit. Whether it be the Soviets/Russians, the Iranians, or the North Koreans, they have proven themselves to be liars. They will say whatever you want them to say to gain short-term political favor. They will not disarm themselves. Disarming unilaterally and dealing from a position of weakness will only open us up to aggression and attack from the likes of Russia, China, and Iran, not to mention the many terrorist groups who want nothing more than to see Americans die. We need to be the biggest, strongest kid on the block to ensure peace for us, and for the rest of the world.

The one thing from your speech on which we agree is the building of nuclear power plants, and removal of restrictions on offshore drilling. Everyone agrees that we need to try to develop clean, self-sustaining forms and sources of energy. But letting private innovation lead the way and develop products that Americans ACTUALLY WANT is the only way to make “green” energy a success. By forcing it down our throats while demonizing and destroying our other inexpensive, reliable forms of energy will only destroy those jobs before new ones emerge, skyrocket the cost of energy (which you promised us under YOUR plan), and destroy an economy that depends on energy at an affordable price. I’m beginning to think this may actually be your intent.

Finally, you displayed your true, anti-American, communist, thug, street organizer colors when you quietly announced your “enemies list” during your speech. You and your band of thugs like Rahm Emanuel bully and intimidate people to get your way. You did so with Fox News and the other news outlets when you declared that Fox News was not a legitimate news organization, would not be treated as such, and that the other “news” outlets would be “wise” not to treat them that way either. Attempt to destroy one to make an example of them, and use fear to control the others, a strategy from your idol, Saul Alinsky. In a total breach of decorum and decency, you publicly flog the Supreme Court, who can’t defend themselves, and lie about their decision that actually reaffirms the 1st Amendment freedom of speech. You hand down the list of people whom you will combat and try to destroy if they stand in your way, a list which includes bankers, capitalist “fat-cats,” the Supreme Court, and anyone in the media or with a microphone, megaphone, or pulpit from which to deliver a message that exposes the fallacies of your agenda. You are blatantly trying to stifle free speech. Woodrow Wilson and FDR were two of the “progressives” who employed similar tactics. No more, Mr. Obama. We will not tolerate your attempts to silence us.

Mr. Obama, you simply don’t care about Americans or America. The people of Massachusetts, a solidly liberal state, sent you a loud and clear message. But you won’t listen. Congress didn’t give you what you wanted, so rather than reevaluate whether what YOU want is what Americans want or need, you boldly declare that you will simply sign executive orders to bypass the congress, and any other entity that stands in your way. You attack and besmirch the Supreme Court because you don’t control them. You lied when you said you “never said you could end divisiveness and start a post-partisan, post-racial era.” BULL CHIPS! You campaigned on EXACTLY THAT PROMISE!

Sir, you are an arrogant, dishonest narcissist who is a danger to America. You attempted to include yourself in the greatness of America when you said that “our ideals built America.”

Mr. Obama, it was OUR ideals that build America, NOT YOURS.

Out of patience,
Support Terrorists and TerrorismO-Bow-ma runs around the world bowing to every muslim ruler and tinpot dictator he can find, he stands in front of a muslim audience in Turkey and says the U.S. is no longer a Christian nation, he says in his campaign he has visited “all 57 states” which corresponds to the 57 muslim states, he downplays the “crotch bomber” (Great balls of fire!) at Christmas and keeps playing golf, and OBTW most people claiming to be Christians (as he still does) are usually celebrating the birth of Christ on Christmas instead of playing golf.

Now the U.S. Treasury, at the direction of O-Bow-ma, has removed the hamas terrorists from the TERRORIST WATCH LIST so that they can get money with no restrictions.

Obama is a muslim, anti-American, terrorist sympathizing communist.

http://www.analyst-network.com/article.php?art_id=3326
Hamas may have been whitewashed, but it is no cleaner than before
25 Jan 2010
A news item entitled ‘US Terror Blacklist Whitewashes Hamas, Enables Funding’ just arrived in my e-mail a few minutes ago. According to its authors, the US Treasury has removed all the Hamas members previously blacklisted as terrorists, with the exception of Musa Abu Marzouk, the deputy chairman of the Hamas political bureau, from the black list that banks almost everywhere are obliged to use in order to block known terrorists from exploiting the financial system to finance their operations.

In practical terms, the Treasury’s black list of names is a total waste of time: as it is a public document, everyone named in it knows that his name is there, and should he want to open a bank account somewhere, he will find a suitable way round the regulations, either by using a false passport or by using a third party to act on his behalf. And apart from that, the details of many entries in the black list document are simply not very accurate or practical: as a senior compliance executive of one of the biggest European banks told me a few years ago, “the black lists are lousy” as a way of preventing terror finance and money laundering.

Nevertheless, this news is absolutely alarming, not so much because of the symbolism of removing the names of known Hamas leaders and terrorists from the black lists, but because doing so will now allow the European Union to continue sending money to the Hamas-run regime of thugs in Gaza without needing to pretend that it is only financing humanitarian efforts, while boycotting the ’military’ side of the government there. There is a genuine problem of how to ensure that genuine humanitarian aid continues to flow without helping Hamas — most of whose victims are actually Palestinians living in Gaza, rather than the hated Israelis — but this discussion is for another occasion.

The United States Treasury has taken all but one member of Hamas off the international list of terrorists, thus enabling funds from the European Union to enter Hamas-controlled Gaza.

It is an open secret that large sums of money from the EU flow into Gaza in the guise of humanitarian aid and salaries for officials, but are actually funneled into the coffers of Hamas, which controls Gaza with an iron grip. This method of transferring funds into terrorists’ hands could have been blocked by an international lawsuit, but according to journalist Avi Tarango, the United States Treasury has made this impossible by removing all but one Hamas man – Deputy Chairman of the Political Bureau, Musa Abu Marzouk – from the list of international terrorists.

and this:

However, according to Tarango, who went over the list, none of the tens of thousands of people who form Hamas is mentioned – other than Abu Marzuk, who resides in Damascus. The terrorist list is meant for distribution in the world banking system, where the transfer of funds to anyone on the list is prohibited.

The Bush administration was adept and persistent in trying to destroy or, at least, make very difficult the transfer of funds into terrorist hands around the world after September 11, 2001. Many of these measures are slowly being dismantled.

“EU laws define Hamas as a terror organization and therefore the EU people need to verify on a name-by-name basis that none of the people receiving salaries and support is a terrorist,” Tarango said. “This is done by the EU’s cash transfer mechanism, PEGASE, which verifies that none of the recipients of salaries are members of Hamas’s police force or activists of the military wing of Hamas, by comparing the names as received from the PA treasury department with the list of international terror activists. However, since the newly-updated list contains no Hamas officials except for Marzouk, the European check will find nothing and the funds for Gaza salaries will be transferred in whole to the Gaza banks.”

It’s coming, America. France and most of western Europe are only a few years away at best from being totally muslim. Because of our open borders, idiotic immigration policies, and worst of all, our oppressive political correctness, we are accelerating to catch up with Europe and will likely only be a few years behind them. That is unless we wake up and start the chemo to stop the cancer that is islam.

I’ve talked about the historic communist agenda of destroying religion and dumbing down society in order to control them. Well, the communists in this country have nearly succeeded and in doing so have opened the door to muslim aggression.

In France in the 1600’s, the king signed a decree that made freedom of religion against the law. It was ‘Catholic or else.’ Protestants either fled the country or were burned at the stake. Now 99% of the french will tell you they are Catholic, but don’t believe in God, and hate the Catholic church. They are an amoral society centered on self-gratification. They now only give birth to 1.6 children per couple, and those children have no moral compass.

By contrast, the muslims who have immigrated to France in large numbers know EXACTLY what they believe, and are acting on those beliefs. They are also copulating and multiplying like bunnies, sometimes in excess of 10 children per family. Within the decade the French citizens will be in the minority, and sharia will likely be the law of the land. The cancer will have eaten the patient.

The idiot liberals in this country who coddle, cater to, appease the muslims have no idea what they are setting us up for. The fools like Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, and others who have gone to the middle east and made muslim PR puppets out of themselves don’t understand that THEY won’t be spared if sharia is implemented and the muslims take over. The will wear burkas, they won’t drive cars, they won’t vote, they will not be allowed out of the house without their husbands, they will have no say in virtually any aspect of their lives and will not even control their own bodies. If they are raped, they will be stoned as whores. They will not be good enough to be considered second class citizens. The Taliban will own America.

Is that what you want, Nancy? If so, please let me buy you a one way ticket to anywhere in the middle east. I think you would like Afghanistan or Pakistan this time of year. If mud huts aren’t your style, I might be able to arrange a ticket to Saudi Arabia.
WorldNetDaily
A female journalist convicted of indecency for wearing trousers in public says tens of thousands of similar arrests are made each year, and what happens is up to the “mood” of the police officer.

WND previously reported when Lubna al-Hussein was arrested, challenged the charges, then was convicted and sentenced in Sudan, which follows Shariah, or Islamic religious law, in many sections.

Her recent appearance on Al-Mihwar TV now has been posted online by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

Al-Hussein was among more than a dozen women arrested at the same time. While others were convicted and punished almost immediately – with flogging – her case was delayed.

When the case developed, Jonathan Racho, regional manager for Africa and the Middle East for International Christian Concern, condemned Sudanese authorities, saying flogging women “for wearing pants is both outrageous and against the dignity of the women.”

Hussein said in the interview that women frequently are arrested and punished “on the spot.”

Asked if a skirt also is considered “indecent,” she told the reporters it was up to the officer making the arrest.
“They said it was indecent. It depends on the policeman’s mood,” she said.

She also said, “In a single year, 43,000 women were arrested because of their clothing – not in all of Sudan, but in Khartoum alone, as declared by the police general commissioner.”

She also said when defendants are arrested, they have no opportunity for a defense.

“Physical violence is manifest in the punishment of lashing, which abases human dignity. Moral violence is manifest in the fact that this is called ‘indecent acts,’ and this is the reason that the tens of thousands of women before me did not have the courage to complain,” she said.

“The courts that try such cases are not regular courts. They are special courts … They are called ‘public order courts,’ but their names keep changing. In these courts, the defendant has no right to defend himself.”

She said in her case, the judge refused to allow defense witnesses to speak, and the decision was made in advance.

“Didn’t you ask [the court] what the definition of ‘indecent clothing’ is? … What is defined as ‘indecent clothing’?” asked an interviewer.

“It depends on the policeman’s mood,” she said. “The law is in the hands of the authorities.”

Hussein said while the law bans “clothing that offends public sentiment,” she was with 400 other people and, “I didn’t offend anybody.”

Hussein’s arrest was condemned by the Arab Network for Human Rights Information. The organization said it likely was revenge for Hussein publishing articles critical of the Sudanese government, MEMRI reported.

“Sudan’s public order laws are among the most discriminatory against Sudanese women. They violate several basic freedoms that should be the right of every citizen. These laws, directed against working women and female students, were enacted expressly to persecute them, humiliate them, and deprive them of freedom, and to distance them from public life. And now, the police have devised a way to use these laws against an oppositionist journalist,” the organization stated, according to MEMRI.

The ICC has said by subjecting the women and girls to inhumane and degrading treatment, the Sudanese officials violated international human right standards as well as the Comprehensive Peace Agreement signed in 2005 by the Islamic government of Sudan and the mainly Christian and animist southern Sudanese.

The ICC said the agreement said Islamic laws are “not applicable to non-Muslims.”

David Choat, the congregational affairs officer of the mission of the government of South Sudan to the U.S., told ICC, “The flogging is an imposition of Islamic values on Christians and it’s also a violation of religious freedom. This is telling us (the Sudanese people) that there are certain religions that are more important than the rest.”

CNN's Cafferty Slams Pentagon's Omission of Islam in Ft. Hood Report

By: Matthew Balan

CNN’s Jack Cafferty blasted the Defense Department’s report on the Fort Hood massacre as a “joke” on Thursday’s Situation Room, singling out how there was “no mention in the report of the suspect’s [Major Nidal Hasan] views of Islam.” Cafferty also highlighted a recent Gallup poll that found that “43 percent of Americans admit to feeling at least a little prejudice toward Muslims.”

The CNN commentator wasted no time in criticizing the 86-page report released by the Pentagon on the Fort Hood shootings: “The Pentagon report into the massacre at Fort Hood, Texas that left 13 people dead- it’s a joke. No mention in the report of the suspect’s views of Islam- none- in fact, the 86-page report doesn’t even once mention Major Nidal Hasan by name. It lumps in radical Islam with other fundamentalist religious beliefs, and instead, focuses on things like military personnel policies and the emergency response to the November shootings.”

Cafferty later read a quote from 9/11 Commission member John Lehman, and continued his attack on the report: “Lehman...told Time magazine the Pentagon’s silence on Islamic extremism- quote, ‘shows you how deeply entrenched the values of political correctness have become,’ unquote. What a shame....The Pentagon acknowledges it did not focus so much on Hasan’s motives, as on what it called ‘actions and effects.’ The report says they didn’t want to interfere with the criminal probe into Major Hasan. Garbage.”

Before reading his “Question of the Hour,” the commentator noted the Gallup poll: “Meanwhile, a new Gallup poll shows 43 percent of Americans admit to feeling at least a little prejudice toward Muslims. That’s more than twice as many who feel that way about Christians, or Jews, or Buddhists, and the same survey finds that Islam is the most negatively viewed religion. One-third of those surveyed say their opinion of Islam is- quote, ‘not favorable at all,’ unquote.”
The full transcript of Jack Cafferty’s commentary, which began 12 minutes into the 5 pm Eastern hour of Thursday’s Situation Room:

CAFFERTY: The Pentagon report into the massacre at Fort Hood, Texas that left 13 people dead- it’s a joke. No mention in the report of the suspect’s views of Islam- none- in fact, the 86-page report doesn’t even once mention Major Nidal Hasan by name. Self destruction.) [and] spoke out often against the wars the U.S. is fighting in Muslim counties.

John Lehman, the member of the 9/11 Commission, told Time magazine the Pentagon’s silence on Islamic extremism- quote, ‘shows you how deeply entrenched the values of political correctness have become,’ unquote. What a shame. The Texas congressman, whose district includes Fort Hood, says the report- quote, ‘ignores the elephant in the room- radical Islamic terrorism is the enemy,’ unquote. The Pentagon acknowledges it did not focus so much on Hasan’s motives, as on what it called ‘actions and effects.’ The report says they didn’t want to interfere with the criminal probe into Major Hasan. Garbage.

Meanwhile, a new Gallup poll shows 43 percent of Americans admit to feeling at least a little prejudice toward Muslims. That’s more than twice as many who feel that way about Christians, or Jews, or Buddhists, and the same survey finds that Islam is the most negatively viewed religion.
So here’s the question: why would the Pentagon choose to ignore the Fort Hood shooter’s ties to Islam in its report? Go to CNN.com/CaffertyFile, post a comment on my blog.
Offending muslims? To quote the Botox Bolshevik Nancy Pelosi, “Are you serious?”

How in the world is a tiny, obscure, hidden stamp that is difficult at best to recognize as a Bible verse “proselytizing?” Now, if I take my gun equipped with high quality Trijicon optics, walk up to a muslim, point to the extremely small, nearly hidden stamp that can’t be seen or read from more than a foot away, tell the muslim “This references a verse in the Bible. This verse says you are going to Hell unless you convert to Christianity,” then that might be considered “proselytizing.” Simply possessing something with a Biblical reference on it is NOT, I repeat, NOT proselytizing. Next the whiny liberals will say that the “cross” hairs in a rifle scope are religious symbols and we have to take them away from our soldiers. What idiots!

We are in these countries to HELP these people. We as Americans go so far overboard not to OFFEND these people as to be ridiculous. We won’t allow our service men and women to consume alcohol, even in moderation. All the other countries with forces there allow their service members access to alcohol. Some groups are even pushing for rules that would prohibit our service members from even POSSESSING a Bible for private use in their quarters while stationed in these muslim countries. It’s even getting to the point that an aircrew can’t have a ham sandwich in their box lunch if they fly through muslim airspace for fear of offending them. Bullcrap.

If these people want our help, and our generosity, then they will “turn the other cheek” to what we do in our own quarters, and on our own installations. We can be “culturally sensitive” in our interactions with their citizens, but we can still be Americans with some measure of freedom on our own time on our own installations. If the muslims in these countries aren’t willing to make even this small of a concession to receive our billions of dollars in aid, and our military protection, then we should leave their countries, take our military and our money, and leave them to their own devices with the understanding that a return to supporting and harboring terrorists or others enemies that threaten America will result in their certain destruction. Sadly, our leaders don’t have the guts or the brains to make a decision like that.

I find it tragically funny how we let millions of muslims into America who turn right around and make demands that we not display our own religious symbols where muslims can see them. They demand tolerance while they “proselytize” our citizens with their poisonous, cancerous religion, yet get offended if we simply wish to discuss our religion with them. They demand that we let them build the phallic symbols on their mosques which represent the male domination of their culture and religion. If we were to go to Saudi Arabia or any other muslim nation and demand the same thing, we would simply be stoned to death or imprisoned.

Muslims are like the democrats and liberals in this country and around the world who are pandering to them out of fear. They so afraid of being proven wrong that they will not listen to any other view points, and simply shut down the debate.

So, Trijicon. Bravo to you for incorporating your faith into your product, boo to you for caving to the “politically correct” censorship. If our government truly wanted the BEST equipment for our servicemen and women, something like this completely inconsequential and overblown reference to something to do with Christianity wouldn’t stand in the way of providing the best to the best. The fact that this has become such a big deal only illustrates that the left in the media and our spineless government aren’t truly concerned with what is best for our troops, and thus by extension not concerned about what is truly best for America.
Trijicon’s “outrageous practice” of stamping Christian references on rifle scopes used by the U.S. military “was an unconstitutional disgrace of the highest magnitude to our military and an action that clearly gave additional incentive and emboldenment to recruiters for our nation’s enemies,” Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) head Mikey Weinstein said, after Trijicon Inc. announced it would now stop the practice. (This is liberal and lawyer speak designed to whip up a frenzy where none exists. Much boohoo about nothing.)

“It is nothing short of a vile national security threat that, despite our nation’s efforts to convince the Muslim world we are not pursuing a holy war against them, our military and its contractors time again resort to unlawful fundamentalist evangelical Christian practices, even on the battlefield,” Weinstein said in a message posted on the MRFF Web site. (The voice and view point of an ANTI-CHRISTIAN. “Vile national security threat?” Really? You’re an idiot. The REAL threat is from the muslims eating away our country and military from the inside like a cancer. Ft. Hood and Nadal Hassan? Little Rock recruiting center shooting? Ft. Dix plot? Muslims running down innocent people in cars and SUV’s screaming ‘allah akbar’? Ring a bell, you retard? If we are indeed at war with terrorists, you probably think we shouldn’t offend them before we kill them.)

MRFF, a watchdog group that describes itself as an advocate of “the free exercise of religious freedom in the military,” (except Christianity) says on its Web site that it “brought to light” the existence of “the secret ‘Jesus’ Bible codes.”

It is taking credit for breaking the story, which ABC News first reported on Monday, and it is calling for a congressional investigation: “We can now only hope that the United States Congress and The Pentagon will comprehensively investigate how this catastrophe and countless other examples of military religious extremism infiltrates every branch of our honorable armed services.” (They only consider it “religious extremism” if it involves Christianity and the Bible.)

Before the MRFF-initiated “ABC News investigation,” Trijicon had included the biblical references alongside other markings on its products for more than two decades, a practice it ascribed in a statement this week to “our faith and our belief in service to our country.”

Thanks to the MRFF, the obscure sets of numbers and letters like 2COR4:6 and JN8:12 are now widely known to refer to New Testament verses.

The news reports prompted governments as far away as Australia and New Zealand – whose forces in Afghanistan also use the scopes – to consider their options.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, (unindicted co-conspirator in the 9/11 attacks, shunned by the FBI for their support of terrorist organizations…) meanwhile, called the presence of the markings “a potential recruiting tool for anti-American forces” and a Muslim Public Affairs Council official said they provided “propaganda ammo to extremists who claim there is a ‘Crusader war against Islam’ by the United States.” (They would say this regardless. Their goal is to intimidate us into inaction.)

According to the U.S. Central Command, the Trijicon rifle scopes were bought in 2005 for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps for use in Iraq and Afghanistan. It said in a statement it “only became aware of these codes in the past several days.”

“The codes on the scopes are contrary to U.S. Central Command guidance,” CentCom commander Gen. David Petraeus said Thursday. (Cowardly…)

“Our mission is to protect the population we’re serving and establish conditions for security, stability, and development, and we strive to do that while remaining sensitive to the cultural and religious norms of the populace we are supporting. (Sensitivity is one thing, but TOTALLY erasing your own religion and culture are something else. Refer to my comments above…)

“We deeply respect the cultures of the host nations and our coalition partners in the Central Command Area of Responsibility,” he said. (Politically correct, canned statements of cowards.)

Trijicon on Thursday issued a statement saying it had agreed to stop putting references to scripture on products manufactured for the U.S. military, and would also provide modification kits to enable the military to remove the markings on products already deployed. (Spineless move. If you produce the best product, they will buy it. Oh, sorry. I forgot. This is the U.S. government we’re talking about. Disregard.)

In response to concerns raised by the Department of Defense, Trijicon, Inc. initiated this action to ensure the war-time production needs of the troops are met as quickly as possible.

“Trijicon has proudly served the U.S. military for more than two decades, and our decision to offer to voluntarily remove these references is both prudent and appropriate,” said company president Stephen Bindon.

“Trijicon’s more than 250 American workers are proud and humbled to provide critical hardware for our nation’s brave service men and women and we look forward to working with the Department of Defense to ensure our immediate solutions are in compliance with the military’s standards requirements.”
Why is there money anyway? Why can’t everything just be free? What if somebody came up to you on the street and gave you ten million dollars?

Sound a little like a 5 year old? Sadly for America, it also sounds like our liberal government.

There is this thing called REALITY that the current group of elitists just doesn’t grasp. They CAN’T keep spending money at the rate of $100 Billion a day and expect our nation to survive. They CAN’T continue the ever increasing death spiral of spending on “entitlement” programs to which NO ONE is legitimately entitled.

Washington is going to have to make some tough choices if America is to survive, and I’m afraid the American citizens are going to have to force them to make those decisions. We are going to have to wean the lifelong “breast feeders” from the teat of government dependence. They are literally going to squeal like babies when forced to become independent and provide for themselves, but they must be made to do so. A man that CAN’T work, I will gladly feed. However, a man that WON’T work can starve as far as I’m concerned.

Government must be limited to spending on the things to which it is CONSTITUTIONALLY mandated. Government must then GET OUT OF THE WAY of Americans and LET THEM SUCCEED. If government gets out of the way, America will once again be the most successful, most productive, and most prosperous nation on earth.
Or we can keep passing out OPM (other people’s money) that won’t actually be earned for another 10 generations like candy and watch our nation collapse into the dust bin of history.

Charity with your money is compassionate. Charity with other people’s money is THEFT.

Democrats propose $1.9T increase in debt limit
By ANDREW TAYLOR, Associated Press Writer Andrew Taylor, Associated Press Writer Wed Jan 20, 6:39 pm ET

WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats on Wednesday proposed allowing the federal government to borrow an additional $1.9 trillion to pay its bills, a record increase that would permit the national debt to reach $14.3 trillion.

The unpopular legislation is needed to allow the federal government to issue bonds to fund programs and prevent a first-time default on obligations. It promises to be a challenging debate for Democrats, who, as the party in power, hold the responsibility for passing the legislation.

It's hardly the debate Democrats want or need in the wake of Sen.-elect Scott Brown's victory in Massachusetts. Arguing over the debt limit provides a forum for Republicans to blame Democrats for rising deficits and spiraling debt, even though responsibility for the government's financial straits can be shared by both political parties.

The measure came to the floor under rules requiring 60 votes to pass. That's an unprecedented step that could mean that every Democrat, no matter how politically endangered, may have to vote for it next week before Brown takes office and Democrats lose their 60-vote majority.

Democratic leaders are also worried that Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., who opposed the debt limit increase approved last month, will vote against the measure.

The record increase in the so-called debt limit is required because the budget deficit has spiraled out of control in the wake of a recession that cut tax revenues, the Wall Street bailout, and increased spending by the Democratic-controlled Congress. Last year's deficit hit a phenomenal $1.4 trillion, and the current year's deficit promises to be as high or higher.

Congress has never failed to increase the borrowing limit.

"We have gone to the restaurant. We have eaten the meal. Now the only question is whether we will pay the check," said Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont. "We simply must do so."

A White House policy statement said the increase "is critically important to make sure that financing of federal government operations can continue without interruption and that the creditworthiness of the United States is not called into question."

Less than a decade ago, $1.9 trillion would have been enough to finance the operations and programs of the federal government for an entire year. Now, it's only enough to make sure Democrats can avoid another vote before Election Day.

Republican Sen. John Thune of South Dakota immediately offered an amendment to end the bank and Wall Street bailout, officially known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP. Thune would prohibit further expenditure of TARP funds and would require that all funds paid back be used to retire debt.

The latest increase comes on top of a stopgap $290 billion measure that cleared the Senate on Christmas Eve. Given the country's finances, that measure would last only about six weeks, lawmakers said, requiring the far larger measure that's pending.
They are saying that America is unprotected because the TSA chief hasn't been confirmed yet, and we must act quickly to confirm him. Does anyone remember what we were told by this same group of communists before the "bailout/stimulus" was passed?

"If we don't pass this stimulus, the economy will collapse."

If we pass this stimulus, the unemployment rate won't go above 8%."

"All the money will go to shovel-ready jobs and stimulating the economy."

Call me crazy, but the economy is STILL on the verge of collapse, unemployment is WELL above 8%, and BILLIONS of dollars went to political pork, paybacks, payoffs, and even went OVERSEAS to banks and foreign companies instead of staying here in America. Joe Wilson said it best: "You lie!"

This is the type of radical, left-wing, communist nut that Obama surrounds himself with because this is the type of radical, left-wing, communist nut that Obama REALLY is.

Here's a glimpse at the soul of Obama nominee for TSA chief, Erroll Southers:

"Most of the domestic groups that we pay attention to here are white supremacist groups. They're anti-government, in most cases anti-abortion, they are usually survivalist type in nature, identity oriented." "Those groups are groups that claim to be extremely anti-government and Christian identity oriented,"

So, let's see if I have this correct. If I'm for less/smaller government (anti-government?), I believe abortion is wrong and is murder (anti-abortion), I was a Boy Scout who believes the motto "Be Prepared" is smart, so I have two weeks worth of food and other supplies in the event there is a natural disaster, and worst of all, I'm a Christian, THAT MAKES ME A TERRORIST?

These definitions make the founding fathers "terrorists." The real terrorists are the radical left communists who are trying to undermine and destroy the United States Constitution. The real terrorists and enemies of the state are those who are trying to spend our nation into oblivion, weakening our military, and stealing freedoms from the citizens.

The enemy of the state terrorist at the top of the heap lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.
I hear reports that the Coakley rally featuring the undocumented president was something of a flop. People started leaving early, with only a small crowd remaining at the end.
Remember the Scott Brown statement that the senate seat in question “is not Ted Kennedy’s seat, it’s not the democrat’s seat, it’s the people’s seat?” Well, in a Coakley add that surfaced this weekend, she has stolen that line and tried to use it as her own after she saw the positive impact that it had. Shameful.
