CNN's Cafferty Slams Pentagon's Omission of Islam in Ft. Hood Report

CNN’s Jack Cafferty blasted the Defense Department’s report on the Fort Hood massacre as a “joke” on Thursday’s Situation Room, singling out how there was “no mention in the report of the suspect’s [Major Nidal Hasan] views of Islam.” Cafferty also highlighted a recent Gallup poll that found that “43 percent of Americans admit to feeling at least a little prejudice toward Muslims.”

The CNN commentator wasted no time in criticizing the 86-page report released by the Pentagon on the Fort Hood shootings: “The Pentagon report into the massacre at Fort Hood, Texas that left 13 people dead- it’s a joke. No mention in the report of the suspect’s views of Islam- none- in fact, the 86-page report doesn’t even once mention Major Nidal Hasan by name. It lumps in radical Islam with other fundamentalist religious beliefs, and instead, focuses on things like military personnel policies and the emergency response to the November shootings.”

Cafferty later read a quote from 9/11 Commission member John Lehman, and continued his attack on the report: “Lehman...told Time magazine the Pentagon’s silence on Islamic extremism- quote, ‘shows you how deeply entrenched the values of political correctness have become,’ unquote. What a shame....The Pentagon acknowledges it did not focus so much on Hasan’s motives, as on what it called ‘actions and effects.’ The report says they didn’t want to interfere with the criminal probe into Major Hasan. Garbage.”

Before reading his “Question of the Hour,” the commentator noted the Gallup poll: “Meanwhile, a new Gallup poll shows 43 percent of Americans admit to feeling at least a little prejudice toward Muslims. That’s more than twice as many who feel that way about Christians, or Jews, or Buddhists, and the same survey finds that Islam is the most negatively viewed religion. One-third of those surveyed say their opinion of Islam is- quote, ‘not favorable at all,’ unquote.”

In recent days, Cafferty has “gone rogue,” (to paraphrase the title of his favorite subject of ire, Sarah Palin), blasting top Democrats over their secret negotiations to pass a final version of ObamaCare, labeling House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a “horrible woman,” and tossing the idea that the Earth’s climate could actually be cooling. If it wasn’t for his December 2009 endorsement of a global one-child policy, you’d think he’s becoming a conservative.

The full transcript of Jack Cafferty’s commentary, which began 12 minutes into the 5 pm Eastern hour of Thursday’s Situation Room:

He allegedly proselytized to his fellow service members, (Why do we tolerate muslims ACTIVELY proselytizing in America, especially in the military, yet we won't even let Christians MENTION their faith, display a Bible on their desk, or display ANY religious symbol?  Self destruction.)  [and] spoke out often against the wars the U.S. is fighting in Muslim counties.

What a shame. The Texas congressman, whose district includes Fort Hood, says the report- quote, ‘ignores the elephant in the room- radical Islamic terrorism is the enemy,’ unquote. The Pentagon acknowledges it did not focus so much on Hasan’s motives, as on what it called ‘actions and effects.’ The report says they didn’t want to interfere with the criminal probe into Major Hasan. Garbage.

Meanwhile, a new Gallup poll shows 43 percent of Americans admit to feeling at least a little prejudice toward Muslims. The Liberals Attack Trijicon: Suppression of All Things Christian…

“Military religious extremism?”  Proselytizing? Offending muslims? To quote the Botox Bolshevik Nancy Pelosi, “Are you serious?”

How in the world is a tiny, obscure, hidden stamp that is difficult at best to recognize as a Bible verse “proselytizing?”  Now, if I take my gun equipped with high quality Trijicon optics, walk up to a muslim, point to the extremely small, nearly hidden  stamp that can’t be seen or read from more than a foot away, tell the muslim “This references a verse in the Bible.  This verse says you are going to Hell unless you convert to Christianity,” then that might be considered “proselytizing.”  Simply possessing something with a Biblical reference on it is NOT, I repeat, NOT proselytizing.  Next the whiny liberals will say that the “cross” hairs in a rifle scope are religious symbols and we have to take them away from our soldiers.  What idiots!


We are in these countries to HELP these people.  We as Americans go so far overboard not to OFFEND these people as to be ridiculous.  We won’t allow our service men and women to consume alcohol, even in moderation.  All the other countries with forces there allow their service members access to alcohol.  Some groups are even pushing for rules that would prohibit our service members from even POSSESSING a Bible for private use in their quarters while stationed in these muslim countries.  It’s even getting to the point that an aircrew can’t have a ham sandwich in their box lunch if they fly through muslim airspace for fear of offending them.  Bullcrap.

If these people want our help, and our generosity, then they will “turn the other cheek” to what we do in our own quarters, and on our own installations.  We can be “culturally sensitive” in our interactions with their citizens, but we can still be Americans with some measure of freedom on our own time on our own installations.  If the muslims in these countries aren’t willing to make even this small of a concession to receive our billions of dollars in aid, and our military protection, then we should leave their countries, take our military and our money, and leave them to their own devices with the understanding that a return to supporting and harboring terrorists or others enemies that threaten America will result in their certain destruction.  Sadly, our leaders don’t have the guts or the brains to make a decision like that.

I find it tragically funny how we let millions of muslims into America who turn right around and make demands that we not display our own religious symbols where muslims can see them.  They demand tolerance while they “proselytize” our citizens with their poisonous, cancerous religion, yet get offended if we simply wish to discuss our religion with them.  They demand that we let them build the phallic symbols on their mosques which represent the male domination of their culture and religion.  If we were to go to Saudi Arabia or any other muslim nation and demand the same thing, we would simply be stoned to death or imprisoned.

Muslims are like the democrats and liberals in this country and around the world who are pandering to them out of fear.  They so afraid of being proven wrong that they will not listen to any other view points, and simply shut down the debate.

So, Trijicon.  Bravo to you for incorporating your faith into your product, boo to you for caving to the “politically correct” censorship.  If our government truly wanted the BEST equipment for our servicemen and women, something like this completely inconsequential and overblown reference to something to do with Christianity wouldn’t stand in the way of providing the best to the best.  The fact that this has become such a big deal only illustrates that the left in the media and our spineless government aren’t truly concerned with what is best for our troops, and thus by extension not concerned about what is truly best for America.

Group That Alerted Media to Biblical Markings on Rifle Sights Wants Congress to Investigate ‘Military Religious Extremism’

(CNSNews.com) – The advocacy group that brought worldwide attention to the fact that an American company has been stamping biblical references on combat rifle sights used by the U.S. military said Thursday it hoped the damage done was not “beyond repair.” (Damage?  What damage?)

Trijicon’s “outrageous practice” of stamping Christian references on rifle scopes used by the U.S. military “was an unconstitutional disgrace of the highest magnitude to our military and an action that clearly gave additional incentive and emboldenment to recruiters for our nation’s enemies,” Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) head Mikey Weinstein said, after Trijicon Inc. announced it would now stop the practice.  (This is liberal and lawyer speak designed to whip up a frenzy where none exists.  Much boohoo about nothing.)

“It is nothing short of a vile national security threat that, despite our nation’s efforts to convince the Muslim world we are not pursuing a holy war against them, our military and its contractors time again resort to unlawful fundamentalist evangelical Christian practices, even on the battlefield,” Weinstein said in a message posted on the MRFF Web site.  (The voice and view point of an ANTI-CHRISTIAN.  “Vile national security threat?”  Really?  You’re an idiot.  The REAL threat is from the muslims eating away our country and military from the inside like a cancer.  Ft. Hood and Nadal Hassan?  Little Rock recruiting center shooting?  Ft. Dix plot?  Muslims running down innocent people in cars and SUV’s screaming ‘allah akbar’?  Ring a bell, you retard?  If we are indeed at war with terrorists, you probably think we shouldn’t offend them before we kill them.)

MRFF, a watchdog group that describes itself as an advocate of “the free exercise of religious freedom in the military,” (except Christianity) says on its Web site that it “brought to light” the existence of “the secret ‘Jesus’ Bible codes.”

It is taking credit for breaking the story, which ABC News first reported on Monday, and it is calling for a congressional investigation: “We can now only hope that the United States Congress and The Pentagon will comprehensively investigate how this catastrophe and countless other examples of military religious extremism infiltrates every branch of our honorable armed services.”  (They only consider it “religious extremism” if it involves Christianity and the Bible.)

Before the MRFF-initiated “ABC News investigation,” Trijicon had included the biblical references alongside other markings on its products for more than two decades, a practice it ascribed in a statement this week to “our faith and our belief in service to our country.”

Thanks to the MRFF, the obscure sets of numbers and letters like 2COR4:6 and JN8:12 are now widely known to refer to New Testament verses.

The news reports prompted governments as far away as Australia and New Zealand – whose forces in Afghanistan also use the scopes – to consider their options.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, (unindicted co-conspirator in the 9/11 attacks, shunned by the FBI for their support of terrorist organizations…) meanwhile, called the presence of the markings “a potential recruiting tool for anti-American forces” and a Muslim Public Affairs Council official said they provided “propaganda ammo to extremists who claim there is a ‘Crusader war against Islam’ by the United States.”  (They would say this regardless.  Their goal is to intimidate us into inaction.)

According to the U.S. Central Command, the Trijicon rifle scopes were bought in 2005 for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps for use in Iraq and Afghanistan. It said in a statement it “only became aware of these codes in the past several days.”

“The codes on the scopes are contrary to U.S. Central Command guidance,” CentCom commander Gen. David Petraeus said Thursday.  (Cowardly…)

“Our mission is to protect the population we’re serving and establish conditions for security, stability, and development, and we strive to do that while remaining sensitive to the cultural and religious norms of the populace we are supporting.  (Sensitivity is one thing, but TOTALLY erasing your own religion and culture are something else.  Refer to my comments above…)

“We deeply respect the cultures of the host nations and our coalition partners in the Central Command Area of Responsibility,” he said.  (Politically correct, canned statements of cowards.)

Trijicon on Thursday issued a statement saying it had agreed to stop putting references to scripture on products manufactured for the U.S. military, and would also provide modification kits to enable the military to remove the markings on products already deployed.  (Spineless move.  If you produce the best product, they will buy it.  Oh, sorry.  I forgot.  This is the U.S. government we’re talking about.  Disregard.)

In response to concerns raised by the Department of Defense, Trijicon, Inc. initiated this action to ensure the war-time production needs of the troops are met as quickly as possible.

“Trijicon has proudly served the U.S. military for more than two decades, and our decision to offer to voluntarily remove these references is both prudent and appropriate,” said company president Stephen Bindon.

“Trijicon’s more than 250 American workers are proud and humbled to provide critical hardware for our nation’s brave service men and women and we look forward to working with the Department of Defense to ensure our immediate solutions are in compliance with the military’s standards requirements.”

STOP the Insanity!

Why don’t we just remove the ceiling completely? Why is there money anyway? Why can’t everything just be free? What if somebody came up to you on the street and gave you ten million dollars?

Sound a little like a 5 year old? Sadly for America, it also sounds like our liberal government.

There is this thing called REALITY that the current group of elitists just doesn’t grasp. They CAN’T keep spending money at the rate of $100 Billion a day and expect our nation to survive. They CAN’T continue the ever increasing death spiral of spending on “entitlement” programs to which NO ONE is legitimately entitled.

Washington is going to have to make some tough choices if America is to survive, and I’m afraid the American citizens are going to have to force them to make those decisions. We are going to have to wean the lifelong “breast feeders” from the teat of government dependence. They are literally going to squeal like babies when forced to become independent and provide for themselves, but they must be made to do so. A man that CAN’T work, I will gladly feed. However, a man that WON’T work can starve as far as I’m concerned.

Government must be limited to spending on the things to which it is CONSTITUTIONALLY mandated. Government must then GET OUT OF THE WAY of Americans and LET THEM SUCCEED. If government gets out of the way, America will once again be the most successful, most productive, and most prosperous nation on earth.
Or we can keep passing out OPM (other people’s money) that won’t actually be earned for another 10 generations like candy and watch our nation collapse into the dust bin of history.

Democrats propose $1.9T increase in debt limit

WASHINGTON – Senate Democrats on Wednesday proposed allowing the federal government to borrow an additional $1.9 trillion to pay its bills, a record increase that would permit the national debt to reach $14.3 trillion.

The unpopular legislation is needed to allow the federal government to issue bonds to fund programs and prevent a first-time default on obligations. It promises to be a challenging debate for Democrats, who, as the party in power, hold the responsibility for passing the legislation.

It's hardly the debate Democrats want or need in the wake of Sen.-elect Scott Brown's victory in Massachusetts. Arguing over the debt limit provides a forum for Republicans to blame Democrats for rising deficits and spiraling debt, even though responsibility for the government's financial straits can be shared by both political parties.

The measure came to the floor under rules requiring 60 votes to pass. That's an unprecedented step that could mean that every Democrat, no matter how politically endangered, may have to vote for it next week before Brown takes office and Democrats lose their 60-vote majority.

Democratic leaders are also worried that Sen. Evan Bayh, D-Ind., who opposed the debt limit increase approved last month, will vote against the measure.

The record increase in the so-called debt limit is required because the budget deficit has spiraled out of control in the wake of a recession that cut tax revenues, the Wall Street bailout, and increased spending by the Democratic-controlled Congress. Last year's deficit hit a phenomenal $1.4 trillion, and the current year's deficit promises to be as high or higher.

Congress has never failed to increase the borrowing limit.

"We have gone to the restaurant. We have eaten the meal. Now the only question is whether we will pay the check," said Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont. "We simply must do so."

A White House policy statement said the increase "is critically important to make sure that financing of federal government operations can continue without interruption and that the creditworthiness of the United States is not called into question."

Less than a decade ago, $1.9 trillion would have been enough to finance the operations and programs of the federal government for an entire year. Now, it's only enough to make sure Democrats can avoid another vote before Election Day.

Republican Sen. John Thune of South Dakota immediately offered an amendment to end the bank and Wall Street bailout, officially known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP. Thune would prohibit further expenditure of TARP funds and would require that all funds paid back be used to retire debt.

The latest increase comes on top of a stopgap $290 billion measure that cleared the Senate on Christmas Eve. Given the country's finances, that measure would last only about six weeks, lawmakers said, requiring the far larger measure that's pending.

Whereas:	The Federal Reserve refuses to give a public accounting of the TRILLIONS in recent taxpayer-backed loans; and

Obama TSA Nominee Sees 80% of Americans as Threats

Why are Obama and the left using their same "stimulus" type fear tactics concerning the appointment of Erroll Southers as TSA chief? They are saying that America is unprotected because the TSA chief hasn't been confirmed yet, and we must act quickly to confirm him. Does anyone remember what we were told by this same group of communists before the "bailout/stimulus" was passed?

If I'm for less/smaller government (anti-government?), I believe abortion is wrong and is murder (anti-abortion), I was a Boy Scout who believes the motto "Be Prepared" is smart, so I have two weeks worth of food and other supplies in the event there is a natural disaster, and worst of all, I'm a Christian, THAT MAKES ME A TERRORIST?

These definitions make the founding fathers "terrorists." The real terrorists are the radical left communists who are trying to undermine and destroy the United States Constitution. The real terrorists and enemies of the state are those who are trying to spend our nation into oblivion, weakening our military, and stealing freedoms from the citizens.
